New York: Thursday, February 6:

Fashion week started off in brisk weather, yet airy pastels and light camel hues sprinkled both the streets of Lincoln Center, and the runways.

Coats were a big push for Fall 14: shearling, fur, and wool, in an array of color-blocked and tone on tone simple hues made sharp statements over well-balanced knee length day dresses.

I, fastened in three airtight cornrow braids above my right ear, bopped from show to show, while lunching and catching up with editors and old friends. It's always so good to be back on my home turf!
